I was asked recently by an online friend– Why Greenwood? Greenwood has figured significantly in my life. The place we have in Mendocino is on the Greenwood/Philo road. It is also the name of that ridge. The pic is looking north from the Greenwood Ridge.  Greenwood was the original name of Elk, CA. That was before they decided to get a post office and weren't allowed to have that name due to conflicts with other Greenwoods or something like that.

Many of my photographs come from in and around our place in Mendocino. Our cabin sits on the Greenwood Ridge and the ocean is only about 3 miles from there.  When I needed a domain name for my website – GreenwoodImages seemed a natural.
