Hendy Woods State Park. An under-appreciated park with some
wonderful first growth. |

Here is Cyndi for size comparison at the foot of the
tree. These are not the biggest by far but they are big and
they are protected. The amazing thing about these trees is
that they exist at all. They are located in a flat very
accessible area most "easy trees" like these were the first
ones cut by the loggers. |

Our trees are old second growth and not nearly as
dramatic as those at Hendy Woods. Still, compared to the
logging company land there are many nice ones. The fog is the
reason the redwoods exist here at all. For size, the trees in
front are standard apples and pears not dwarfs. |

This is the grove we call The Stockade because there
are six or more trees all lined up in a tight row. That's
